Who we are

Bela Studio is a hair and beauty salon on Vía España, Panama City, Republic of Panama. You can reach us on WhatsApp or by phone at +507 6829-4878.

For the purposes of Law 81 of 26 March 2019 on the Protection of Personal Data, Bela Studio is the controller of the data you provide to us.

What this website collects

This is a static website with no forms. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number on any page, and there are no advertising pixels from Facebook, Instagram or any other network.

We do use Google Analytics (GA4) to see how many people visit, which country they arrive from and which sections they look at. It is the only measurement tool on the site and the only thing here that sets cookies. Google receives your IP address as part of that.

The data is statistical and aggregated: it tells us that twenty people looked at the price list on Tuesday, not who they were. We do not use it to identify you and we do not join it to your client record.

If you would rather not be counted, you can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works exactly the same without them.

If you tap a WhatsApp button, your browser hands you over to WhatsApp. From that point the conversation is governed by WhatsApp's policies (Meta Platforms), not by this site.

Data we do handle, and when

We collect data only when you choose to message us or visit the salon:

When booking by WhatsApp or phone: your name, phone number, the service you want and your appointment date. We use these to schedule, confirm and remind you.

In the salon: where a treatment requires it, we may ask about allergies, pregnancy, medication or previous treatments. This is health information, we treat it with particular care, and we use it solely to carry out the service safely.

Photographs: we publish photographs of work only where you have expressly agreed. You can withdraw that permission at any time and we will remove the image.

What we use your data for

To manage your appointment and provide the service; to contact you if we need to reschedule; to keep a record of work done, so a colour or formulation can be repeated on your next visit; and to meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not pass it to third parties for commercial purposes. We will not send you promotional messages unless you tell us you would like them.

Third-party services this site uses

Google Fonts. Typefaces load from Google's servers, which means your IP address is visible to Google when the page opens. It can be removed by hosting the fonts ourselves.

Google Maps. The map on the location section loads from Google, which also receives your IP address. If you would rather it did not, the "Get directions" button only opens Google Maps when you tap it.

Google Analytics (GA4). Measures visits in aggregate and is the only thing here that sets cookies. Measurement ID: G-QCM9LX0TN8.

Netlify. The site is hosted on Netlify's network, whose servers are outside Panama. Netlify keeps technical access logs (IP address, time, browser) for security and operational reasons.

WhatsApp (Meta). If you message us, the conversation is held on Meta's infrastructure under their own policies.

How long we keep it

We keep your service history for as long as you remain a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so your record can be picked up again if you return. Records with tax implications are kept for the periods Panamanian law requires.

If you would like your record deleted sooner, simply ask.

Your rights

Law 81 of 2019 gives you the rights of access, rectification, cancellation, objection and portability over your personal data.

To exercise them, message us on WhatsApp at +507 6829-4878 or tell us in the salon. We will deal with your request within the periods the law provides.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may contact the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI), the body responsible for supervising compliance with Law 81 in Panama.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Appointment records are treated confidentially and accessed only by staff who need them in order to look after you.

Minors

Where we treat a client under the age of majority, we require that they are accompanied by a parent or guardian, and that this person authorises both the service and the handling of the data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date shown at the top of the page.
